Firstly， adults starting a new or returning to school most often have found within themselves a strengthened desire to succeed。 Studies have shown that 80% of adult students graduate as pared to a 50% average graduation rate among traditional students。Furthermore，adults have a bank of knowledge from life or work experience that can contribute to what they will learn in school。This is a fantastic advantage over their younger peers。Adults also view their professors as peers and are less intimidated by them，Last but not least，higher education for the adult is a life-changing experience。Most often， adults go to school to further their education in hopes of salary increases，chances for promotion，or they go to school for change，hoping to enter into a better field or pursue a field that they have a deep-rooted passion for。
In conclusion，the importance of having adult education overshadows the difficulties in pursuing your degree later in life。Given that most colleges and universities have tailored their programs to fit adult student's needs and schedules，going back to school for adult education is feasible and highly advisable。

Given its profound social implication， the thought-provoking phenomenon is well worth our endeavor to explore。Undoubtedly， this cartoon arouses our deep concern over the issue of mutual support。 The message conveyed in it， I suppose， is twofold。
In the first place， in contemporary society， if one wants to achieve his targets or intends to fulfill his ambitions， he has to work hard， make efforts and get prepared on the basis of his team， otherwise， he will take no advantage of opportunities when they e to visit him。
Secondly， the difference between a man who succeeds and one who does not mainly lies in thefact whether or not he couldhe could cooperates successfully with others。
As a famous quotation from the ancient Greek Aesop’s Fables put it， “United we stand， divided we fall。” We should glory in teamwork and helping one another; take self-seeking to be a disgrace。

Killing Time Indoors
Nowadays a growing number of people， especially the 20s or 30s， tend to stay indoors for most of their spare time， especially on holidays。 Some spend the majority of the time online chatting， blogging， shopping， dating or playing puter games。 Some sit with their eyes glued to the television screen， day and night。
People’s opinions vary when it es to this way of killing time。 A great number of people maintain that staying indoors is cheap， fortable， and most importantly， very safe。 Others， however， frown upon staying indoors for too long。 They are worried that lack of physical exercise and face-to-face munication with others will do harm to people’s body and mind。
Personally， I don’t think staying indoors for most of the day should be advocated。 Instead， people in all ages， their physical conditions permitting， should be encouraged to spend more time outdoors。 The brilliant sunshine， the pleasant green space， the interactions with other people， etc。 are all good for people’s health， both physically and psychologically。

As an old saying goes，"Treat others the way you want to be treated。" Likewise，(同样) if you want to be understood， you must first seek to understand others。
To understand others is to put yourself into others' shoes and to be aware of their feeling。 That is often perceived as a mere selfless act; but in fact， when you seek to be empathetic(感同身受的)， you can melt an otherwise cold relationship and thus are more likely to get understood。
If clinicians， for instance， treat patients like medical conditions， not people， then minor disagreements between them may escalate into(矛盾加剧) greater conflicts。 On the contrary， if a care provider can put himself in patients' place， trying to feel their pains and sufferings， the patients will be more inclined to (更有可能)understand the clinician， even if the treatment falls flat。(不成功)
In conclusion， understanding generates within us love and inclusiveness。 Only when we attempt to understand others， can we truly care about them and tolerate differences。 It's understanding that enables us to have a generous heart to be considerate and benevolent(与人为善的)。If everyone is willing to do so ， we will surely be better understood and tolerate。

In modern society， the decline in morals is being more and more severe。 For example， there have been a few cases in which a senior woman pretended to have fallen over and then blackmailed the person who tried to help her。 There was also another case where a little girl was hit by a car and no passers-by gave her a hand。
To solve this problem， we need first to find out the reasons。 For one， the fast pace of modern society is driving people apart from each other， thus people are losing the patience to care for others。 For another， with technology developing， it’s much easier for people to know what is happening in the world today。 In order to draw people’s attention， some media would lay stress on negative news and overemphasize the negative effects。
To reestablish social morals， we must work together。 People should learn to care for the others， while the media should treat negative news more properly。

The Importance of Daily Exercise
I definitely believe that a regular amount of suitable daily exercise is an important factor in maintaining one's health。 The focus is on the word “suitable" because a person's age and physical condition can dictate the type and amount of exercise that is appropriate。
There is a wide variety of exercise routines available to suit people of all ages and condition but it is wise to seek the advice of a doctor before taking on a fitness program that may not be suitable: The growth of fitness studios in the big cities has made it easier for busy people to work out a program to fit their time schedule。 Most of these studios are staffed with petent and qualified professionals who can tailor a fitness program to best suit one’s needs。 Some people rely on sport to provide the exercise they need but some sports carry a risk of injury。 People who lead a sedentary life that does not involve much physical activity can offset this through isometric exercises。 While the professional studios e equipped with all the latest machines and aids， there are plenty of ways a person can get sufficient exercise without incurring the cost associated with studio fees。 Walking or riding a bike are excellent sources of providing free exercise but one of the most popular is the regular practice
of the Tai Chi movements。
In conclusion， daily exercise is important for health and there are many ways to do this which cost little amounts of money。

Judging a person based on a first impression does save time。 There are more people thananyone could possibly get to know in one lifetime。 It is frustrating to waste time getting toknow someone， only to find out that your first impression was correct and that you really don’tlike him or her。 So is it a waste of time getting to know people your probably won’t like? Thatseems to be a valid point of view， but I believe that it is not the best attitude to take。
It’s more humane to spend time getting to know people before judging them。 I know that Idon’t always make a good first impression even when I truly like the person with whom I aminteracting。 We all have bad days， I wouldn’t want to lose a job or a potential friendship simplybecause I picked out the wrong clothing or said something wrong。 I think everyone deserves thechances make a second impression。
If we all base our final opinion of others on first impression， it would be hard to get to knowanyone。 There is always more to people than meets the eye。 If we don’t give someone a chance，we may be missing out on meeting a life-long friend。 That would truly be shame。

In the final analysis， although there are a myriad of factors to be considered before making a decision， from my standpoint， I believe that one should never forgo one's true passion。

All things considered， I think I'd like to have a lot of acquaintances who are different and afew close friends who are similar to me。 That seems the best of both worlds。

In short， I believe self-confidence to be the most important factor in success。 It enables people to take risks， try again when they fail， and enjoy their acplishments when they win。 With these abilities， a confident person can succeed easily at school or work。
